From creating gold and silver pieces to setting them apart with timeless engraving, we have your entire commission covered from start to finish in the JBO studio. Joseph's skill as a manufacturing jeweller and hand-engraver allows us to keep everything in-house and guarantee the quality of work - from design to creation to the finishing touches that will ensure your piece is treasured for years to come.

Most of our custom orders are initiated through email. Simply start a conversation by letting us know about your design ideas, preferred metal, measurements and budget. We can then collaborate to create your perfect piece.

Knives commissioned for engraving are usually provided by our clients, however, JBO is able to source these on behalf of clients at their request.

JB Ornamental designs and creates from a private studio located on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia. By appointment meetings can be arranged for those in the Central Coast and Newcastle areas.

Pet Portrait Charm

Photos were provided by our client to hand-engrave the exact likeness of this special fur-baby onto a charm bracelet.

Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet

Hand-crafted and polished to perfection, this solid sterling silver cuff was commissioned and gifted as a very special 50th birthday present. The class and versatility of this piece will have it worn in both casual and more formal settings.

Sunflowers & Gerberas

What better way to brighten your day than by wearing a custom-made ring, hand-engraved with sunflowers and gerberas! JBO had a blast creating this gorgeous piece, requested by an amazing client who knew exactly what she wanted as a personalised anniversary gift.

Hand-engraved Spyderco Byrd Knife

The owner of this knife had a specific image in mind, which we've brought to life. The brief was "a fallow deer rut scene". We suggested the addition of a personalised monogram and some traditional scroll work to finish it off. The end result is a beautiful piece of art on a working knife that will last for years to come.

Hand-engraved Initials

This client simply requested personalisation of a charm bracelet, with hand-engraved initials in script writing. The perfect touch!

Blue Utah Opal Pendant

Such a unique stone, we were lucky to have this amazing Utah opal in our possession for a few days while we created a claw set pendant to show it off.

Acanthus Ring

We were asked to hand-engrave this stainless steel ring for a gentleman who was looking for something classy and unique. An acanthus design provided exactly what he wanted.

Engraved Ruby Ring

This piece was commissioned as a gift for the client's daughter. After crafting the ring with a gorgeous ruby as the centrepiece, we embellished it with hand-engraving and a personalised "B" initial.

Floating Amethyst Pendant

Photos do not do this piece justice. We were asked to create a setting for this beautiful amethyst which was rounded on both sides. Not wanting to hide any of it's beauty, we decided on a floating claw setting, identical and open on both front and back.

Cuff Bracelet

Hand-engraved with hammer and chisel, this beautiful bracelet was crafted in the JBO studio as requested - to be a unique talking piece that would stand out from the crowd. This one really hit the mark with its combination of scrollwork, border and floral design.

Garnet & White Sapphire Ring

The story of this very special piece dates back to the 1970s, when a yellow gold garnet ring was given to a pastor's wife as a thank you gift for the support she and her husband provided them through a tough time in their lives. Although it was a valued gift, the ring went unworn, as the pastor's wife was not a wearer of gold. We were able to ensure this garnet did not go to waste by creating a new piece in sterling silver, setting the original garnet, and adding white sapphires to create a very classy touch.

Western-style Turquoise Ring

This gorgeous ring was a gift for a young lady who is right on trend out West. Turquoise paired with western-style hand-engraving was the perfect way to showcase her style.

Floral Centred Acanthus Pendant

The client that commissioned this piece was Mother of the Bride. This specially created and hand-engraved pendant has begun its journey through time and will be passed down through the generations.

Lightning Ridge Opal Pendant

Made for a client with a love of all things opal, we set this beautifully understated stone in sterling silver and added a unique, bespoke bail feature.

Blue Sapphire Ring

This chunky sterling silver and sapphire ring is perfection.

The client had a rough idea of the design she wanted for this ring. We worked together to iron out the details before hand-crafting and setting these amazing lab-created sapphires. The outcome was a big statement piece at an affordable price.

Ruby Pendant

JBO was tasked with designing a contemporary, distinctive and personalised piece for a 21st birthday present. The receiver could not have been happier.

Hand-engraved Knife

We were given the opportunity to turn this knife into something special with some custom hand-engraving. A traditional acanthus design flowed onto the handle beautifully, adding elegance to a functional tool that is now not easily forgotten.

Money Clips

It's not often that we are asked for items as old-world as money clips, but we loved this opportunity, crafting the pieces in sterling silver and finishing them with traditional scrollwork. The sophisticated gentleman who commissioned these knew how to make a statement.

Matrix Opal Pendant

This lovely matrix opal was just begging to be set in sterling silver, which created a casual yet gorgeous statement piece for the wearer.
